The Nebraska Truck Driving Championships were held in Grand Island, Nebraska, June 14-16, 2007.

Wynne drivers competing in the Championships were Bill Brennan, 3 axle class, Jim Hendricks, straight truck class, Larry Krause, tanker class, Bob Myers, five axle class, Gene Muehlich, flatbed class, Mark Olson, tanker class, and Dave Zaiser, five axle sleeper class. There were a total of 131 drivers competing from 33 Nebraska trucking companies and 21 teams.

Volunteers from Wynne included Hank Albrecht, Dave Dailey, Lisa Dailey, Denzil Gage, Marty Owens, Karla Owens, and Susan Weldon.

The competition began on Friday with the drivers being tested on Pre-Trip Inspections, completing a written test on rules and regulations, and being interviewed by a panel of judges. The precision driving competition was held on Saturday.

Total scores (500 max) were Eugene Muehlich, 265, Jim Hendricks, 287.2, Dave Zaiser, 293.6, Mark Olson, 301, Robert Myers, 333, Bill Brennan, 337, and Larry Krause, 338.

Larry received a trophy for coming in Third in the Tank Class and Wynne finished in 7th place overall. Congratulations, to you, Larry, and Excellent Job to all of our great competitors!!
