Wynne Transport Service, Inc. provides a comprehensive employee benefit program that includes paid vacation, a 401(k) Plan, medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance and disability benefits. In addition, Wynne Transport Service, Inc. maintains a Cafeteria Plan that allows employees to set aside a small portion of salary to cover medical expenses that are not covered by insurance (i.e. deductibles, co-pays, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and hearing aids). Amounts set aside under the Cafeteria Plan are free of Federal, State, and FICA taxes and will be paid to the employee upon the submission of a claim form summarizing the expenses incurred that are not covered by insurance. As an employee of Wynne Transport Service, Inc., you are eligible to participate in the benefits described below if you are a full time employee whose regular workweek is 40 hours and who is scheduled to work at least 2,000 hours in a normal calendar year. The effective date for participation in the group medical, dental, disability and life insurance programs is the first of the month following 90 days of continued employment. 401(k) Plan (back to top) The 401(k) Plan is a valuable benefit program offered to employees of Wynne Transport Service, Inc. This Plan enable employees to put money aside to work toward a financially secure retirement. Participating in the 401(k) Plan is easy. Employees can contribute up to 15% of their weekly income to their Plan account through convenient payroll deduction. Wynne Transport Service, Inc. also contributes a matching contribution to the Plan. All contributions are invested under the direction of the employee. Because the contributions are not subject to current federal and state income tax, the money invested has the opportunity to grow under the most favorable terms possible. All of your contributions to the 401(k) Plan are always fully vested and cannot be forfeited for any reason. Although the matching contributions made by Wynne Transport Service, Inc. are not vested until the employee completes five years of service, these contributions are in the employee's account and are invested under the direction of the employee. OTHER BENEFITS: (back to top) VACATION PAY: Employees are eligible for 2 weeks of paid vacation on the January 1 following one year of continuous service. (Three weeks on January 1 following 10 years of service). Employees hired throughout the year will have a prorated number of day's vacation as of their first January 1. Wynne Transport Service, Inc. pays the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Employees are eligible for holiday pay after 30 days of employment. After 90 days of employment, new drivers are provided 5 complete uniforms and one jacket at the expense of Wynne Transport Service, Inc. Uniforms are required while on duty. |
