Happy Golden Anniversary Wynne Transport Service, Inc.

On November 9, 2002 at Wynne's employee appreciation Party the appreciation took a different twist. An award was given to Don & Dee Wynne from their employees for fifty years of dedication to the employees & customers of Wynne Transport.

Wynne Transport is a liquid bulk commodity carrier ranked 49th top bulk carrier in the
United States as reported in Modern Bulk Transporter's 2001 Annual Gross Revenue Report. Wynne's main office is located at: 2222 North 11th St in Omaha, NE with terminals located in: Cedar Rapids, IA, Geneva, NE, Cheyenne, WY, and a sub-terminal in Houston, TX. Transports are also stationed at various loading facilities in NE, IA, KS, TX, MS, OK. The long haul bulk liquid product fleet operates throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Don first got involved in his profession by hauling oil for his father's retail fuel oil business. In 1951, Don Wynne purchased his first tractor and his father purchased the trailer. In 1952, Don went off on his own as a common carrier leasing on with other carriers for a few years, and within four years, had five units. From purchasing authority, to deregulation and from hauling local Petroleum Products and Fertilizer and later expanding to add products such as: Asphalt, Herbicide and the ever-growing long haul Chemical business shows the need to change with the times - nothing comes easy in trucking. Today Wynne Transport has 150 company power units and over 390 trailers with 190 company employees, approx 45 leased operators, seven of which are fleet operators. Don Wynne's staying power is also reflected in his personal life, Don Wynne was married to Dolores in 1950 and has also grown his family fleet to 9 children - eight daughters & one son, 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and all but one live in the Omaha area.

Throughout the years Don Wynne has surrounded himself with others willing to take on the trucking challenge. Bob Wynne and Teresa Gerard Don Wynne's Son & Daughter have also made much progress in contributing to the success of Wynne. Bob is Executive Vice President & Teresa is Vice President of Information Services.

Don Wynne realizes the importance of the work that all of his employees do (past & present) & thanks them for making Wynne Transport 50 years strong. Wynne Transport's common goal: Dedication to Safety - Superior Customer Service - Maintaining and improving the companies' image.

Congratulations to Don and Dee Wynne on fifty five years of outstanding leadership in the transportation industry.
